Porcelain cylindrical cup with an angular handle. Miniature painting of the Disarming of Cupid within a central panel – Cupid and Cephisa after Angelica Kauffman’s painting from 1792. In a romantic landscape, the young woman, accompanied by a young man, cuts off one of the slumbering Cupid’s wings. The remaining surface is divided into two decorative bands. This popular motif was also painted by Karl Harzer (1790?–1849).
